Our harp building is unique due to our unusual
and beneficial combination of skills - Warwick's 30 year
background in acoustics and building, and Jacquie's in actually
playing the instrument for 12 years. Often you get builders who
don't actually play the instrument. Or players with no
building/acoustic or business experience. So we make a good
team.
Low manufacturing costs by not trying to be all things to all people!
We use one standard design for our 30 and 34/36 string harps, so we can maintain high
consistent standards while keeping our prices low.
Single piece neck and pillar, so no join, no breaks!
Soundboard material on back as well as the front, to enhance a
sympathetic resonance with the front soundboard.
Quarter sawn sculptured tonewood reinforced soundboard to give
the strength and stability of Baltic Birch with the smoothness of Spruce.
Unique loaded horn soundbox system, so the sound is amplified
through natural resonances.
Our harps are fully bolted top and bottom to prevent all movement.
We don't rebrand imports pretending they are our own at higher cost!
We also use, whenever possible, recycled timbers from sustainable
sources. We DO NOT use endangered exotic woods, like Burbinga, Mahogany or Rosewood.
We prefer to use the world's most tried and reliable lever, the Loveland
Sharping Lever. Cost per lever: $30
