23 String
Rosella
Our new little harp is named after the colourful parrots that gather
in flocks in our bush garden, cheekily demanding handouts.
This harp has been designed as an affordable introductory lap harp,
currently available in “flocks” (natural finish, or in the bright
blues and reds of the Scarlet Rosella, or the blue, greens and yellows
of the Eastern Rosella) for Pull Your Own Harpstrings Classes offered by
Jacquie in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
Flocks of Rosella harps are also currently available for other
teacher’s workshops. |
This little harp features medium folk harp tension, concert harp
spacing; and its portable handles for carrying making it an ideal choice for both a
child or an adult’s first harp or for harp choirs in school and communities.
However, like all of Harps Australia’s instruments it is also designed with a
beautiful, full sound. The
Rosella’s range extends down to a wire wrap C (fifth octave), with wrapped
strings continuing for an octave, making them a portable instrument for
therapeutic music that includes a resonate low range, unlike the decidedly
un-therapeutic, “thunky” sound produced by some small, loosely strung harps
that are only monofilament nylon in this range.
The Rosella harp will be available for sale to
individuals and schools in mid 2008, call us for price and availability
estimates (contact us).
